Horses can lose vital body salts, most notably sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, when they sweat during exercise or in hot weather. Horses regulate body temperature by sweating and if these electrolytes are not replaced adequately then it can result in fatigue and cause other health implications. NAF Electro Salts supplement is a concentrated combination of essential plasma salts that in combination with dextrose aid absorption of these salts. NAF Electro Salts should be fed following exertion, after heavy sweating or during periods of very hot weather. NAF Electro Salts can be given easily in the feed, or dissolved in water. Always ensure a supply of clean fresh water is readily available.
Directions for Feeding:
Feed to working horses to replace lost body salts, particularly through strenuous exercise and during warm weather. Clean, fresh water should be available at all times. Preferably, offer tepid water to encourage drinking.
