Protexin Gut Sponge is a peppermint flavoured supplement designed to support hind gut health and to encourage the formations of normal stools. Gut Sponge includes psyllium husks, which is a prebiotic and a valuable energy source for the horse due to fermentation by microbiota. This provision of safe calories, helps the growth of friendly bacteria and nourishes the gut lining cells.
Absorbing excess water in the gut, the high fibre psyllium husk assist with coating and protecting the lining of the gut and help the formation if normal stools. This process is enhanced by the levels of Bentonite, which is a natural binding agent and source of essential minerals.
Linseed is a nutritious source of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, which supports gut health and general well-being.

Directions for Feeding:
50g (1 level measure) mixed with feed twice daily for 7-14 days. Then once daily as required or as recommended by your veterinary surgeon. Dampen feed with water prior to feeding.
Gut Sponge can be used in conjunction with Gut Balancer for probiotic support.
Unless under veterinary supervision do not exceed recommended levels, or feed with other products containing bentonite. Simultaneous use alongside oral macrolides should be avoided.
